60's Jeep Wagoneer Experts?
Hello to all you Jeep Wagoneer Experts.
I recently Browsed at a 60's Wagoneer with the Tornado engine and Rhino Grille (Vertical ribs, Long rectangular shape) Which from browsing the internet dates it to somewhere between 1966 - 1970) But yet has the Tornado engine?
Now for the part that confuses me slightly, according to some research ive done the Tornado Engine was discontinued after 1965 for commercial use in the wagoneer. Another thing that confuses me slightly is that it has split front seats(non bench seat) up in the front, which from what ive seen was only a feature on the Super Wagoneer at the time if im not mistaken? They look like the Original broad type seats, they don't look like something that was added subsequently. I must add that this was a export model, Its a right hand drive. Could this account for the difference or maybe an option at the time?
Could be, just because it is a wagoneer doesn't mean they are all built the same or at all, around the world. Case in point the ramcharger was and is still built in south america but not in the US, is it a US durango with ramcharger badgeing or just have a bench seat up front where the durango here in the US has only bucket fronts, who knows what they are thinking at the time, now or back in the 60's
